Yoga has been an important part of Dharani’s life for decades, introduced to her, on a beautiful Spring day, second semester of her first year in an Acting Conservatory in Manhattan. The teaching at that time was straight from India, a Hatha Yoga. Dharani continued to practice yoga and the philosophy of yogic living first as a student, then enthusiastically dove into her first teaching certification. Since then she has studied with and achieved certifications through numerous teachers, -Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee and Angela Farmer, and locally with Soma Center, Kripalu, Omega and, of course, Onyx- embracing many disciplines of yoga, from Restorative to Kundalini, Prana Flow to Yin. Dharani is also a teacher of Theatre Performance and instills in her student actors and speakers, the value of studying yoga, both for the Art of Acting and, more importantly, the Art of Living. Dharani also has a higher degree in Literature and a Masters in the Art of Teaching Secondary English.

Her classes will reflect these loves- yoga, poetry, music and stories of yogic philosophy. Dharani is honored to be a part of this beautiful studio- both as a student and a teacher. She looks forward to growing with and because of her students.
