Karen’s class is welcoming to all. She strives to teach from the heart with love and compassion with the intention of helping others navigate life with grace, build resilience and find peace. Karen began practicing yoga in 2012 when she was searching for an outlet to relieve PTSD and extreme grief and suffering related to the sudden loss of her daughter. She discovered yoga was both peaceful and challenging. Her yoga practice not only lessened her mental suffering, but also improved her overall physical health and gave her the ability to manage multiple autoimmune diseases, including Fibromyalgia. Karen decided to delve deeper into the teachings and completed her 200-hour YTT with Onyx in 2019. She’s currently completing her 500-hour YTT with Gopi. She’s grateful for all the teachers she’s had as well as all of her fellow yogis at Gopi who she continually learns from.
