Abhaya Coleman

Abhaya is a passionate yoga teacher who believes deeply in the transformative power of the practice- especially through the cultivation of a deepened connection with oneself. Abhaya’s personal journey with anxiety drew her to yoga and almost instantaneously she felt a strong calling to the practice. Abhaya’s commitment to her newfound passion was evident as she dedicated a gap year from college to fully immerse herself in yoga. Within the following months she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and 30-hour yin training at The Hot Yoga Sanctuary, followed by a second 200-hour yoga teacher training right here at Gopi Yoga Center. In Abhaya’s classes, students can expect more than just the physical practice; they can anticipate a holistic experience that encompasses mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. Her classes honor the timeless wisdom of yoga, highlight the power of cultivating loving awareness, and ensure that yoga is accessible to all, regardless of background and experience.
